Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From Kent Station, board the Sounder train heading towards Seattle. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Seattle King Street Station, exit the station and walk to the International District/Chinatown light rail station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Board the Link Light Rail train towards Northgate. Ride for about 25 minutes and get off at the Westlake Station. From Westlake Station, exit and walk north on 5th Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center at 440 5th Avenue.

  • Bus

    From the Kent Transit Center, take the Metro Bus Route 180 towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes until you reach the stop at 5th Avenue and Stewart Street. Once you disembark, walk north on 5th Avenue for approximately 5 minutes. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center will be on your right at 440 5th Avenue.

  • Walking

    If you are already in downtown Kent, you can walk to the Kent Station and take the Sounder train to Seattle as described in the Public Transit option.
