    From downtown Kirkland, walk to the Kirkland Transit Center located at 106th Ave NE & 4th St. Board Metro Bus Route 255 towards Seattle. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at SW Admiral Way & 57th Ave SW. From there, walk south along SW Admiral Way for about 5 minutes until you reach Schmitz Preserve Park at 5551 SW Admiral Wy.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, start at the Kirkland waterfront and head south on Lake Washington Boulevard NE. Continue onto the Burke-Gilman Trail, which will take you through scenic areas. When you reach the intersection with 57th Ave SW, turn west and continue until you reach SW Admiral Way. Turn left and bike for a few minutes until you arrive at Schmitz Preserve Park.

  • Walking

    For a pleasant walk from the Kirkland waterfront, follow Lake Street S south until you reach the intersection with 3rd St. Turn left on 3rd St and continue until you reach 106th Ave NE. Turn right and head south to reach the bus stop. Alternatively, you can walk to the nearest bus stop at Kirkland Transit Center to catch the bus to Schmitz Preserve Park, as described above.
