Car
From the Mount Rainier Area, head south on WA-410 E towards Enumclaw. Continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach Enumclaw. As you enter Enumclaw, you can stop at local shops or restaurants for supplies. From Enumclaw, take WA-164 E and follow the signs for the Clearwater Wilderness. You will need to turn onto Forest Road 70, which leads to several trailheads within the wilderness area. Be aware that some roads may require a Northwest Forest Pass for parking, which can be purchased at local ranger stations or online.
Public Transportation and Hiking
If you are using public transportation, take a Greyhound or similar bus service to Enumclaw from Seattle or Tacoma. Once in Enumclaw, you can use a rideshare service or local taxi to reach the entrance of the Clearwater Wilderness. Be sure to check the availability of rideshare services in the area, as they may be limited. Once you reach the wilderness area, you will need to hike to various trailheads, which are accessible via marked trails. Ensure you have a map or download offline navigation as cell service may be spotty.
