Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car within Mount Rainier National Park, head towards the Paradise area. From Paradise, take the Paradise Road northbound until you reach the junction with the Stevens Canyon Road. Turn east onto Stevens Canyon Road and continue for approximately 5.5 miles. Look for signs indicating the Chenuis Falls Trailhead. The trailhead parking is located on your right. Be sure to check the National Park website for any entrance fees, which are generally around $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, the nearest major transit point is in Ashford, WA. From Ashford, you can take a shuttle service that operates during the peak tourist season (typically late May through early September) to various points in Mount Rainier National Park, including the Paradise area. Once you arrive at the Paradise area, follow the same directions as above by walking to the Chenuis Falls Trailhead, which is approximately a 1-mile hike from the Paradise visitor center. Ensure to check the shuttle schedule, as it may vary.

  • Hiking

    If you're already in the park and prefer to hike, you can approach Chenuis Falls from nearby trails. Starting at the Reflection Lakes area, there are several trails that connect through the park. Follow trail markers for the Skyline Trail or the trails leading from Reflection Lakes towards Paradise. This will ultimately lead you to the Chenuis Falls Trail. Keep in mind that this route can be more strenuous and may take several hours depending on your pace.
