Car
If you're driving to Mount Rainier National Park, start by entering the park through the Nisqually Entrance (the most popular entrance). From there, follow the signs towards Paradise. After approximately 15 miles, you'll reach the Paradise area. Park your vehicle in the designated parking areas. From Paradise, you'll need to take the Skyline Trail, which leads toward Ricksecker Point. The trailhead is located near the visitor center. The hike to Ricksecker Point is approximately 2 miles one-way and is moderately challenging, featuring beautiful wildflower meadows and stunning views. Make sure to bring water and snacks for the hike.

Public Transportation
If you are utilizing public transportation, you can take a Greyhound or other bus service to Packwood, WA. From Packwood, you will need to arrange for a shuttle or taxi service to the Mount Rainier National Park entrance, as public transportation does not go directly into the park. Once you reach the Nisqually Entrance, follow the same directions as outlined for car travel: head towards Paradise and take the Skyline Trail to Ricksecker Point. Be aware that the cost of a shuttle service may vary, so it's wise to check in advance.
