There is no parking fee at the trailhead, so you can park your vehicle there without any additional costs.

    Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly to the Lava Canyon Trailhead. However, you can take a Greyhound or other regional bus service to the nearest town, which is Cougar, WA. From Cougar, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the remaining 9 miles to the Lava Canyon Trailhead via NF-83.
