Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center located at 42218 NE Yale Bridge Rd, Toutle, WA 98649. Head east on WA-504 E for about 18 miles until you reach the junction with NF-90. Turn left onto NF-90 and continue for approximately 5 miles until you see the sign for Silver Star Mountain Trailhead on the right. There is a parking area available at the trailhead. Note that some forest service roads may require a Northwest Forest Pass for parking, which costs about $5 for a day.
