Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Winthrop, WA. From Winthrop, take Highway 20 (North Cascades Highway) eastbound. Continue on Highway 20 for approximately 15 miles. Look for NF-600 (also known as Rainy Pass Road) on your left. Turn onto NF-600 and drive for about 2 miles. You will see the Rainy Pass Trailhead parking area on your right. Make sure to check for any seasonal road closures before heading out.

Public Transportation + Car
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Seattle to Winthrop. The North Cascades Scenic Highway can be accessed from the Greyhound or other regional bus services. Once you arrive in Winthrop, you will need to rent a car or use a rideshare service to reach the Rainy Pass Trailhead. From Winthrop, follow the same directions as above: head east on Highway 20, turn onto NF-600, and drive to the trailhead.

For the adventurous, biking from Winthrop to the Rainy Pass Trailhead is an option. Rent a bike in Winthrop and ride along Highway 20. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have proper gear. The ride is approximately 15 miles long to the trailhead, and you'll need to take NF-600 for the last 2 miles. Make sure to wear a helmet and have a map or GPS device to navigate.
