From downtown Seattle, you can take King County Metro Bus #17. Board the bus at any downtown bus stop that services line #17. The bus will take you directly to the Ballard area. You will need to get off at the stop near NW 54th St & 32nd Ave NW. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes west on NW 54th St, then turn left onto W Commodore Way, and you will arrive at the Ballard Locks Fish Ladder. A one-way fare on the bus is approximately $2.75.
