If you are driving from downtown Seattle, take I-5 North and merge onto WA-520 W. Continue on WA-520 W and take the exit toward Montlake Blvd. Follow the signs for Ballard and merge onto 15th Ave W. Continue on 15th Ave W and turn right onto W Commodore Way. The Ballard Locks Fish Ladder will be on your left at 2930 W Commodore Way, Seattle, WA 98199. There is parking available nearby, but it may incur a fee of around $1 per hour.

From downtown Seattle, you can take King County Metro Bus #17. Board the bus at any downtown bus stop that services line #17. The bus will take you directly to the Ballard area. You will need to get off at the stop near NW 54th St & 32nd Ave NW.
