Walking
From the heart of Downtown Seattle, start at Westlake Center (400 Pine St). Head north on 4th Ave towards Pine St. After about two blocks, turn left onto Pine St. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with 5th Ave. Turn right onto 5th Ave and walk until you reach the Space Needle. Seattle Center is located just beyond the Space Needle. The total walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20-25 minutes.

Light Rail
If you are near the Westlake Station (near Westlake Center), you can take the Link Light Rail towards Northgate. Get off at the University Street Station and transfer to the Seattle Center Monorail (located at the Westlake Center). The Monorail will take you directly to Seattle Center. The total cost for the Light Rail is $3.00 and the Monorail is $2.50, with the trip taking around 15 minutes.

You can catch a bus from various locations in Downtown Seattle. Look for Metro bus routes that serve Seattle Center, such as routes 1, 2, 8, or 13. Board the bus at the nearest stop and pay the fare, which is typically $2.75. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and you will get off near the Seattle Center entrance.
