Public Transit
If you're starting from downtown Tacoma, head to the Tacoma Dome Station. You can take the Sound Transit Light Rail (Link) towards the University of Washington. Get off at the last stop and transfer to Pierce Transit Bus 1. Board the bus, and it will take you southbound. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the S 72nd St & S Sheridan Ave stop. From there, walk south for about 5 minutes until you reach Wapato Park at 6500 S Sheridan Ave.
Walking
If you're nearby, you can walk to Wapato Park. For example, if you're in the South End neighborhood, head south on S Sheridan Ave. The park is located at 6500 S Sheridan Ave, so just keep walking until you reach the park entrance.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride to Wapato Park. From downtown Tacoma, take Pacific Ave S heading south. Merge onto S 72nd St, then continue until you reach S Sheridan Ave. Turn left on S Sheridan Ave and Wapato Park will be on your right side at 6500 S Sheridan Ave. The ride is approximately 3 miles and takes around 15-20 minutes.
