Car
If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Blue Mountains. Head southwest on Main Street towards W 1st St. Turn right onto W 1st St and then merge onto WA-204 W. Continue on WA-204 W for about 5 miles, then merge onto I-90 W towards Seattle. After approximately 30 miles, take exit 34 for WA-18 towards Auburn. Follow WA-18 for about 15 miles. Take the exit for WA-164 E towards Enumclaw. Continue on WA-164 E for about 10 miles until you reach 410 E. Continue on 410 E for about 20 miles until you reach the entrance to Mt. McCausland trailhead, which is well-marked. Parking is available at the trailhead, and there may be a small parking fee, typically around $5 for a day pass.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking the local bus service from downtown Blue Mountains to the nearest major transit hub. From there, you can catch a Greyhound bus or a regional transit bus heading towards Enumclaw. Once you arrive in Enumclaw, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Mt. McCausland trailhead. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may not run frequently. Additionally, plan for the taxi fare which could be around $20-$30 depending on the distance from Enumclaw to the trailhead.
