From the center of Beckley, head northwest on 5th Street toward Neville Street. Continue on 5th Street until you reach the intersection with Robert C. Byrd Drive. Turn left onto Robert C. Byrd Drive and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will pass by several shops and restaurants, so it's a nice area to explore. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with WV-3. Turn right onto WV-3 and walk for approximately 1 mile. As you walk, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Ship Rock. You will see the natural rock formation on your left-hand side.
