Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, Marlinton, WV. From the center of Marlinton, head south on US-219 S for approximately 2 miles. Then, turn left onto CR-25 (Honeycomb Rocks Road), which is well-marked. Continue on Honeycomb Rocks Road for about 4 miles until you reach the Honeycomb Rocks Trailhead parking area, which will be on your left. There are no parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  Using public transportation may be challenging as there are limited options in this rural area. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to Marlinton. Once you arrive in Marlinton, you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transportation does not directly service the Honeycomb Rocks Trailhead. You can use local taxi services or check for rideshare availability to get to the trailhead. Expect to pay around $30-$50 for a taxi from Marlinton to the trailhead.

• Biking/Walking

  If you are near the Greenbrier River Trail and wish to bike or walk to Honeycomb Rocks Trailhead, you can access the Greenbrier River Trail and head towards Marlinton. From the trail, you can exit at the appropriate points to connect to Honeycomb Rocks Road. Note that walking or biking from the trail could take a couple of hours depending on your starting point, so prepare with plenty of water and snacks.
