If you are traveling by car from the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, start by heading to US-19 S. Take the exit for US-60 E toward Lewisburg. After about 5 miles, merge onto I-64 E. Continue for approximately 25 miles. Take exit 169 toward US-219 S. Follow US-219 S for about 10 miles until you reach Renick. In Renick, turn onto Beartown Rd, which will lead you directly to Beartown State Park. The park entrance will be on your left.
