If you're starting from the Parkersburg City Park, head east on 7th Street towards the intersection with Washington Avenue. Turn right onto Washington Avenue and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. You will pass several local shops and restaurants. As you approach the area, look for the historic buildings along Washington Avenue. The Parkersburg High School-Washington Avenue Historic District is located between 1400 and 1498 Washington Avenue.

From the Parkersburg Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop on 7th Street. Board the bus heading towards Washington Avenue. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes, and get off at the Washington Avenue stop. From there, walk south on Washington Avenue for a few minutes until you reach the Parkersburg High School-Washington Avenue Historic District, located between 1400 and 1498 Washington Avenue.

If you have a bike, you can start at the Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park. Follow the bike path towards downtown Parkersburg. Continue on the bike path which merges into 7th Street. From there, turn left onto Washington Avenue and ride south for about 1 mile.
