If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Wisconsin Dells. Take US-12 E from Wisconsin Dells towards I-90/I-94. Merge onto I-90/I-94 S and continue for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 305B to merge onto I-41 S towards Milwaukee. Continue on I-41 S for about 40 miles, then take exit 305B to merge onto I-894 S. After about 8 miles, take exit 4A to merge onto I-43 S. Stay on I-43 S for about 5 miles, then take exit 72 for S 72nd St. Turn left onto S 72nd St and continue for about 1 mile. The historical marker will be on your left near the intersection with W Forest Home Ave.

For those using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound or Megabus to Milwaukee. Once in Milwaukee, transfer to the Milwaukee County Transit System. Take route 54 (which runs along S 72nd St). Get off at the stop at S 72nd St and W Forest Home Ave. Walk about 0.2 miles south on S 72nd St to reach the historical marker located on your left.
