Getting There

    From Capitol Square, head northwest on State Street (the main street in the square). Continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. At this intersection, turn left onto University Avenue. After approximately 0.5 miles, you will see a sign for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Continue walking straight on University Avenue, and shortly after, turn right onto North Park Street, which will lead you toward the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. Follow North Park Street until you reach the entrance to Picnic Point.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available around Capitol Square. Once you have your bike, head northwest on State Street and then turn left onto University Avenue. Continue biking for about 0.5 miles, then make a right onto North Park Street. The bike ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. There are bike racks available near the entrance to Picnic Point.

  • Public Transit (Bus)
