If you are in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee, start by heading east towards Lake Michigan. A good starting point is the Milwaukee Art Museum at 700 N Art Museum Dr. From there, walk south along the lakeshore on the paved pathways. Continue walking for about 15 minutes, enjoying the views of the lake and the city skyline. You will see signs for Lakeshore State Park as you approach. The park entrance is located at 500 N Harbor Dr, where you can enter and explore the beautiful green space.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-share programs available throughout Downtown. Locate a bike station near you and rent a bike. Then, head towards the lakeshore by following the bike paths along E Michigan St. Continue biking along the lakefront for approximately 10-15 minutes until you reach Lakeshore State Park. You can park your bike at the bike racks near the entrance at 500 N Harbor Dr.

Public Transit (Bus)
You can also take the Milwaukee County Transit System bus to get to Lakeshore State Park. Board the GreenLine bus at any nearby stop in Downtown. Ride for about 5-10 minutes and get off at the 'Milwaukee Art Museum' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk east toward the lake. Follow the path south along the lakeshore, and you will see the park entrance at 500 N Harbor Dr. Note that a bus fare is required, which typically costs around $2.00.
