If you are starting from the Milwaukee Intermodal Station, head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Look for the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus route 30, which goes towards the Historic Third Ward. Board the bus and ride for about 15 minutes, getting off at the stop at E Chicago St & N Broadway. From the bus stop, walk north on N Broadway for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Historical Marker 310: Third Ward Fire 1892, located on N Broadway.

If you are in the downtown area, a pleasant walk can take you to Historical Marker 310: Third Ward Fire 1892. Start at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Head south on N Lincoln Memorial Dr, take a right onto E Wells St, and continue until you reach N Broadway. Take a left on N Broadway and walk for about 10 minutes. You will see the historical marker on your right side.
