Lakeshore State Park: A Waterfront Oasis in Milwaukee

Getting There

• Walking

  From the heart of the Historic Third Ward, head north on Broadway St toward E Chicago St. Continue walking until you reach E Chicago St, then turn right. Walk along E Chicago St until you arrive at N Harbor Dr. Turn left onto N Harbor Dr and proceed until you reach the entrance of Lakeshore State Park at 500 N Harbor Dr. This walk is approximately 0.5 miles and should take about 10-15 minutes.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bike, you can rent one from a local bike-sharing service like Bublr Bikes. Locate a nearby station in the Third Ward, rent a bike, and ride north on Broadway St. Take a right on E Chicago St, then a left on N Harbor Dr. Follow N Harbor Dr directly to Lakeshore State Park. The ride is about 0.5 miles and should take approximately 5-10 minutes.

• Public Transit

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Milwaukee County Transit System. Catch the Route 30 bus from the nearest bus stop in the Third Ward area. Board the bus heading towards the 'N 1st St & W State St' stop. After disembarking, walk east on W State St until you reach N Harbor Dr. Turn left and walk to Lakeshore State Park. Note that a single ride fare on the bus is $2.00.
