Car
If you're starting from Milwaukee, take I-94 W towards Madison. After about 60 miles, take exit 340 for I-43 S toward Beloit. Continue on I-43 S for about 30 miles until you reach exit 2 for Kenosha. Merge onto WI-50 E and follow the signs for Kenosha. Once in Kenosha, take 60th St, then turn onto 18th Ave, and finally, follow the local signs to the Schaefer Mammoth Site located at 42.6409913, -87.9977756.

If you're in Chicago, you can take the Metra train from Union Station to Kenosha. The Metra's Union Pacific North Line runs directly to Kenosha. Once you arrive at the Kenosha station, you can catch a local bus (Kenosha Area Transit) or use a rideshare service to reach the Schaefer Mammoth Site. The site is about 3 miles from the train station, so plan for a short bus ride or a rideshare.

For visitors coming from Madison, take US-12 E towards Lake Geneva. Merge onto I-43 S and follow the same directions as from Milwaukee. This route will take you through beautiful Southern Wisconsin scenery before you reach the Schaefer Mammoth Site in Kenosha.
