Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car within Bridger-Teton National Forest, start from Jackson, Wyoming. Head north on US-89 N for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with Moose Wilson Road. Take a left onto Moose Wilson Road, and continue for about 5 miles until you reach the entrance of Grand Teton National Park. After entering the park, follow the signs to the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center. From there, continue on Teton Park Road until you reach the intersection of Teton Park Road and the road leading to the Lone Star Geyser trailhead. The trailhead is located near the end of this road, where you'll find a parking area. Please note that parking may require a park pass, which costs around $35 for a 7-day pass.

Hiking
After parking at the Lone Star Geyser trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 2 miles along the relatively flat Lone Star Geyser Trail to reach the geyser. The trail is well-marked and offers scenic views of the surrounding forest. The hike is suitable for most fitness levels, but be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. Depending on your pace, the hike will take about 1 to 2 hours.
