Hiking
From the Old Faithful area, start your hike on the Fairy Falls Trailhead. Follow the trail for about 2.5 miles until you reach the junction for the Mystic Falls Trail. Continue on the Mystic Falls Trail for approximately 1 mile until you reach the top of Mystic Falls, where you can enjoy a scenic view of the area. From here, head east towards the Grand Loop Road. Once you reach the road, look for the signs directing you to the Yellowstone Caldera, which is approximately 3 miles east. Follow the road until you arrive at the viewpoint of the caldera.

Biking
If you're starting from the Canyon Village, take the South Rim Drive which leads to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Bike along the rim for about 3 miles until you reach the junction with the Grand Loop Road. Turn left onto the Grand Loop Road and continue for another 5 miles. Look for the designated bike path that leads to the Yellowstone Caldera viewpoint. The journey will take you through beautiful scenery, and you'll be able to stop at various overlooks along the way.

Walking
Starting from the Norris Geyser Basin, take the walking path that leads south towards the Grand Loop Road. It’s about a 2-mile walk. Once you reach the Grand Loop Road, turn left and walk for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the signs that guide you to the Yellowstone Caldera viewpoint. This route is well-marked, and you should see several other visitors along the way.
