Walking
If you are staying in the downtown area of Cody, start at the Cody Visitor Center located at 1131 12th St. From the Visitor Center, head west on 12th St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Sheridan Ave. Turn left onto Sheridan Ave and continue south for approximately 0.3 miles. You'll see the entrance to the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway at the junction of 14-16th St. Follow the signs for the byway, and enjoy the scenic views as you walk along the path.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in downtown Cody. Start your ride from the Buffalo Bill Center of the West located at 720 Sheridan Ave. Ride north on Sheridan Ave for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Cody Ave. Turn right onto Cody Ave, which will lead you out of the city. Continue straight for approximately 3 miles, and you will find the entrance to the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway on your left. Enjoy the ride and the beautiful scenery!
