What to expect
Cody
Our Starting and Ending point, this is where this tour originates at 6am and ends around 4pm
Bask in the awe inspiring beauty of the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway making stops at places like Dead Indian's Pass and Pilot Peak. As we approach the Wyoming, Montana border we often have some of the best chances for wildlife sightings of Moose, Grizzly Bear, Coyote and Mountain Goat.
Experience Yellowstone National Park! On this tour we enter through the least trafficked Northeast gate, and exit via the east gate about 9 hours later. Buckle up, here the adventure begins!
Lamar Valley
Watch out for extreme wildlife viewing in the 'Serengeti of the West' in Lamar Valley. Common wildlife sightings include Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Grey Wolves, Moose, Pronghorn, Mountain Goat, Mule Deer and more.
See the Iconic Tower Fall waterfall, one of the many sights painted by 19th century artists that helped make Yellowstone the first National Park in the World. This is also a good stop for restrooms, gift shopping and a place to eat outdoors.
Mount Washburn
Drive over Dunraven Pass from Tower junction to Canyon Village. Stop on the way up in search of plentiful Black Bear, and at the top for Bighorn Sheep sightings. This is also one of the best places in the park for Wildflowers!
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Stop at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone to see the always inspiring Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
Hayden Valley
Keep an eye out for more herds of Buffalo, Elk, Grey Wolves and more in Hayden Valley as we work our way along the east side of Yellowstone National Park, back to Cody. This is an iconic location where Bison Crossing occurs regularly.
Make a quick pit stop at Fishing Bridge Visitor Center for one final bathroom break and chance for gift shopping at Fishing Bridge.
Pahaska Tepee
See the original hunting lodge of Buffalo Bill Cody at the Pahaska Tepee, when open.
Buffalo Bill National Scenic Byway
Drive through what President Theodore Roosevelt dubbed the "most scenic drive in America" and the nation's first national forest, the Shoshone National Forest. Many times, we see just as much large wildlife outside the park on this road as we do inside.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
