Car
If you're driving from the center of Red Desert, head northwest on WY-220 W. Continue on this road for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with I-25. Merge onto I-25 N and continue for about 76 miles. Take exit 188B for US-20 W/US-26 W towards Casper. After about 2 miles, take the exit toward Downtown Casper and merge onto N Poplar St. Continue straight for about 2 miles, and the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center will be on your right at 1501 N Poplar St, Casper, WY 82601.

To reach the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center via public transportation from Red Desert, you will need to take a bus from the nearest bus station in Rawlins, WY. First, get to Rawlins which is approximately 40 miles away. Once in Rawlins, take the Greyhound bus heading to Casper. The bus journey to Casper will take around 2-3 hours. From the Casper bus station, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach the center at 1501 N Poplar St, which is about a 10-minute drive.
