Car
If you are coming from the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone area, head north on the South Rim Drive. Continue straight until you reach the junction with North Rim Drive. Turn left onto North Rim Drive and follow the signs for the Upper Falls. After about 3 miles, you will see the parking area for the Upper Falls. Park your car and walk to the viewing area for breathtaking views of the waterfall.

From the Norris Geyser Basin area, head south on the Grand Loop Road. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with the Canyon Village area. Follow the signs to Canyon Village and then take North Rim Drive. After about 5 miles, you will arrive at the parking area for Upper Falls. Park your vehicle and take a short walk to reach the viewing platforms.

Public Transportation
If you are using the Yellowstone bus system, look for routes that go to Canyon Village. Once you arrive at Canyon Village, you can transfer to a shuttle that takes you to the Upper Falls. The shuttle runs regularly throughout the day, and the ride will take about 15 minutes. After disembarking, follow the pathway to the viewing area for the Upper Falls.

If you're traveling from West Yellowstone, take US-20 E towards Yellowstone National Park. Enter the park and continue on the Grand Loop Road for about 30 miles. At the junction, follow the signs for the Canyon area. After reaching Canyon Village, take North Rim Drive for about 5 miles to the Upper Falls parking area. Park and enjoy the scenic views.
