Getting there

Car

If you are driving from the Kasanka National Park entrance, head south on the main road leading through the park. Keep an eye out for park signs and wildlife. Continue on the main road for approximately 15 km until you reach the junction at the Chifunda Gate. Turn left onto the gravel road. Follow this road for about 5 km, and you'll see signs for Chipendezi Falls. The falls are approximately 1 km off the gravel road, and you'll need to park your car at the designated parking area and walk the final stretch.

Public Transport

To reach Chipendezi Falls using public transport, you can take a local bus or minibus from Lusaka to the nearest town, which is Chitambo. From Chitambo, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a local guide to take you to the falls. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. The taxi ride from Chitambo to the falls will take about 1-1.5 hours. Ensure you have cash on hand for both the bus fare and the taxi hire.

Walking

If you are already within Kasanka National Park and prefer walking, start from your accommodation or the nearest park lodge. Follow the marked trails leading towards Chipendezi Falls. The hike can take about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to carry sufficient water and wear sturdy hiking shoes, as some parts of the trail may be uneven.
