Walking
From the center of Chipata, start at the Chipata Market. Head southeast on Mphangwe Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with D104 road. Turn right onto D104. Walk along D104 for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see signs pointing towards Mphata Hills. Follow the signs which will lead you to the entrance of Mphata Hills.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Chipata. Start at the Chipata Market and head southeast on Mphangwe Road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer and take a right onto D104. Cycle along D104 for approximately 3 kilometers, following the signs that indicate Mphata Hills. The route is mostly flat and suitable for cycling.

Public Transport (minibus)
From the Chipata Bus Station, take a minibus heading towards the direction of Mphata. Inform the conductor that you are going to Mphata Hills. The minibus will drop you off at a point close to D104. From there, walk along D104 for about 1 kilometer to reach the entrance of Mphata Hills.
