Car
From Kalambo Falls, start by heading north on the main road (T4) towards the town of Mpulungu. You will follow this road for approximately 35 km. Look out for road signs that indicate the direction to Mwenyi. After passing through Mpulungu, continue on the T4 road until you reach a junction where you will take a left turn onto a less maintained gravel road. Drive for another 20 km until you reach the coordinates M9RP+34 in Mwenyi. The journey should take around 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on road conditions.
Public Transportation
Starting from Kalambo Falls, you can take a local minibus (commonly known as a 'kombi') towards Mpulungu. These minibuses can be found at designated taxi ranks in Kalambo. The fare to Mpulungu should be around ZMK 10,000. Once you arrive in Mpulungu, you will need to hire a local taxi to take you to Mwenyi. Ensure you discuss the fare with the taxi driver beforehand; it should cost around ZMK 50,000 for the trip to M9RP+34. This entire journey may take approximately 2 hours, including waiting times.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, from Kalambo Falls, head towards the main road (T4) and walk north towards Mpulungu. It is about 35 km to Mpulungu, and walking will take a considerable amount of time; expect to spend approximately 7-8 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Mpulungu, you can either continue walking to Mwenyi (another 20 km) or catch a local taxi for convenience.
