If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Mansa. Head northeast on the Mansa-Chipili Road (also known as the Mansa-Kabwelume Road). After approximately 50 km, you will reach the town of Chimpempe. Follow the signs towards Kabwelume Falls, which is located just a few kilometers from Chimpempe. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to the road conditions leading to the falls.

Public Transport

For travelers using public transport, you can take a minibus from Mansa to Chimpempe. The minibuses depart from the Mansa bus station and operate regularly throughout the day. The fare is typically around 20 ZMW. Once you arrive in Chimpempe, you can hire a local taxi or find a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you the remaining 5 km to Kabwelume Falls. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which may range from 30 to 50 ZMW.

Walking

If you're adventurous and in good shape, you can choose to walk the last few kilometers from Chimpempe to Kabwelume Falls. The walk is scenic and will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, especially during the hotter months.
