If you are driving, start from the town of Mpika, which is the closest major town to the Nachikufu caves. From Mpika, head south on the T2 road towards the town of Chinsali. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for a sign indicating the turnoff to the Nachikufu caves. Turn onto this road and continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the caves. Be sure to have a vehicle with good clearance as the last part of the road may be rough.

To reach Nachikufu caves using public transportation, first take a bus from Mpika heading towards Chinsali. Buses regularly depart from Mpika's bus station. Inform the driver or conductor that you want to stop at the turnoff to Nachikufu caves. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once you reach the turnoff, you can either walk the remaining 10 kilometers to the caves or negotiate a ride with a local taxi or motorbike taxi (commonly known as 'boda-boda'). Ensure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
