Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, make your way to the main road leading out of Chimanimani National Park. Head east towards the town of Chimanimani. Once in Chimanimani, follow the signs for the A4 highway. Continue on the A4 for approximately 45 kilometers until you see signs for Save Valley Conservancy. Turn left onto the road leading to Save Valley Conservancy. After about 8 kilometers, you will reach Chishakwe Ranch, where Chishakwe Safaris is located.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Chishakwe Safaris via public transport, start from Chimanimani town. You will need to take a shared taxi or 'combi' heading towards Mutare. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Save Valley Conservancy. The fare should be around ZWL 50. From the junction, you may need to arrange for a local taxi to take you the remaining 8 kilometers to Chishakwe Ranch, which may cost around ZWL 100. Ensure you communicate the destination to the driver.

  • Walking

    If you find yourself in the vicinity of Save Valley Conservancy, you can walk to Chishakwe Safaris. From the entrance of the conservancy, head south on the main road for about 8 kilometers. It’s advisable to have a map or a GPS device, as the path can be unmarked. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the walk can take approximately 2 hours.
