If you are driving from Mutare, take the A4 road heading southwest for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Biri River. Turn left onto the Biri River Road and continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the Chimanimani turnoff. Follow the signs to Chimanimani National Park, which is about 20 kilometers from the turnoff. Be prepared for some rough terrain and ensure your vehicle is suitable for rural roads. Parking is available at the park entrance.
Public Transport
From Mutare, you can take a shared taxi or minibus heading to Chimanimani. These typically leave from the main taxi rank. The fare is approximately ZWL 100 to ZWL 150 per person, depending on the vehicle and demand. The journey may take around 2-3 hours. Once you reach Chimanimani town, you can hire a local taxi to take you to the park entrance, which is about 20 kilometers away. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand, but expect to pay around ZWL 50 to ZWL 100.
