Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading south from Harare on the A5 highway. Continue on the A5 for approximately 170 kilometers (about 2-3 hours). Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Savé Valley Conservancy. Once you reach the conservancy entrance, you may need to pay an entrance fee, which can vary, so be prepared with cash. After entering the conservancy, follow the designated roads until you reach Gunundwe Wildlife Area, which is located at 535P+53M Savé Valley Conservancy.
Public Transportation
To reach Gunundwe Wildlife Area using public transportation, take a bus from Harare to Chiredzi. Buses typically leave from the main bus station in Harare. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Chiredzi, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange for local transport to take you to the entrance of Savé Valley Conservancy. It’s advisable to confirm the fare with the taxi driver beforehand. Upon reaching the conservancy entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee. After entering, you can either drive further into the conservancy or arrange for a guided tour to Gunundwe Wildlife Area.

If you're already in a nearby town such as Chiredzi, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Gunundwe Wildlife Area. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The distance from Chiredzi to the conservancy entrance is about 30 kilometers and will take around 30-45 minutes. After reaching the entrance, be prepared to pay the entrance fee before proceeding into the conservancy.
