Ulleri
Today, we embark on a journey to Nayapul, the initial stage of our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. From Nayapul, we commence our trek, navigating through a valley forest and crossing the Bhurungdi Khola River to reach the village of Tikhedhunga. Subsequently, we tackle 3400 steps and boulders, a true test of endurance. Upon conquering this challenge, we arrive at Ulleri in the afternoon, where we'll spend the night.
Today marks the start of our trekking journey with a hearty breakfast, followed by an ascent to Ghorepani village. Along the way, catch glimpses of the breathtaking Mt. Annapurna South. Our path weaves through waterfalls and small villages, eventually leading us to Ghorepani. Continuing upwards, we'll reach upper Ghorepani, a vantage point providing a panoramic view of the mountains, including Mt. Annapurna South and Nilgiri.
Tadapani
At dawn, we ascend to Poon Hill to witness the enchanting sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. Poon Hill is renowned for its close-up views of these majestic mountains. Enjoy a cup of hot coffee while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Following this, we descend to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing our journey through rhododendron forests and cascading waterfalls, finally arriving at Tadapani. Overnight accommodation will be at a lodge in Tadapani.
Chhomrong
Today's trek takes us through a vast rhododendron forest, and as the forest trail concludes, it reveals picturesque terraced fields. We then embark on a 5 km uphill journey, passing waterfalls and ultimately reaching a suspension bridge—common sights in the Himalayan region of Nepal. After a few more miles of varied terrain, we arrive at our destination for the day, the charming village of Chhomrong, nestled below the towering Mt. Annapurna. Enjoy an overnight stay in Chhomrong.
Descending from Chhomrong, we navigate numerous stone steps leading to the Chhomrong Khola River. Crossing a swinging bridge, we ascend to Sinuwa, traversing a beautiful forest path through Kuldihar. From here, the trail gently descends to Bamboo, where we will spend the night.
Deurali
Our trek progresses through a chilly bamboo forest, followed by an uphill climb on a steep surface leading to the Himalaya Hotel. Beyond this point, the forest opens up, bathing us in sunlight and revealing stunning views of the glacial river below. The journey continues with a steep ascent through a drier forest, culminating in reaching Hinku Cave. Moving forward, we descend to a river and ascend to Deurali, where breathtaking views of nearby mountains and Mt. Dhaulagiri await. As the landscape transforms, the lush greenery gives way to captivating vistas of the valley, river, and cliffs adorned with waterfalls. The night will be spent at a lodge in Deurali.
On this day, we ascend steadily along the valley trail, navigating rocky cliffs and occasional steep sections. After a stretch on a relatively flat path, we ascend to Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC). From MBC, we're treated to breathtaking views of Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna. Continuing our ascent, we walk to our ultimate destination, Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). This marks a lifetime experience for trekkers, surrounded by magnificent peaks. The only access to this area is through the gorge we've just traversed. Enjoy an overnight stay at ABC.
Today, an early rise awaits us as we prepare to witness the spectacular sunrise, undoubtedly the pinnacle of our ABC journey. After soaking in the breathtaking scenery and having breakfast, we descend swiftly to MBC, then make our way through Deurali, Himalayan Hotel and finally reach Doban, where we'll spend the night. The trail descends, offering a relatively easy downhill trek for the day.
Jhinu Danda
Following breakfast, we'll retrace our steps back to Chhomrong, pausing for lunch. Negotiating the challenging stone steps we previously ascended, we continue the journey until the route descends to Jhinu Danda, our overnight stop. The path leads us through farmland and rainforest, providing an enjoyable stroll to our destination.
Pokhara
Following a hearty breakfast, we bid farewell to Jhinu Danda and revel in the scenic hill landscape of western Nepal en route to Nayapul. Lunch will be enjoyed along the way, marking the conclusion of our Annapurna Sanctuary trek. Upon reaching Nayapul, we transition to a drive back to Pokhara, where we celebrate the success of our Annapurna Base Camp journey. The night will be spent in Pokhara.
