Quando idealizamos marcar uma atividade com amigos, idealizamos um ambiente intimista, onde existe proximidade, cumplicidade, alegria e diversão. Quando associamos essa vontade de fazer um workshop de iniciação à prova de vinho com amigos a um sommelier com uma paixão pelo trabalho como o João demonstrou ter, só pode resultar numa ótima tarde de sábado passada no Douro, onde cada minuto passado foi intensamente vivido por nós. Parabéns João, pela simplicidade, pelo entusiasmo e segurança com que nos passaste cada ensinamento relativo aos mais diversos estilos de vinhos com nos presenteaste e pelo profundo conhecimento das regiões de onde estes provêm. Agradecer ainda por termos pedido uma experiência com determinadas características e termos recebido uma experiência que foi muito além do que tínhamos imaginado.
Por fim, o local escolhido para realizar o workshop foi a cereja no topo de bolo, tendo-nos permitido realizar as provas inseridos na belíssima paisagem do Pinhão.

Dizer que o tempo dispendido soube a pouco, é um dos muitos elogios que posso deixar ao João. Estando este tipo de experiências associada a alguma "finesse" foi com uma enorme proximidade e à vontade que o João se dispôs a explicar "tintin por tintin" o que para um leigo havia para explicar. A prova de vinhos foi de acordo com o esperado (2 brancos, 2 tintos, 2 portos e 1 late harvest) e creio que a escolha dos mesmos foi bem pensada porque permetiu diferenciar bem cada tipo de vinho e perceber o tipo de avaliação que um iniciante pode fazer. Em suma, posso dizer que foi numa excelente tarde de sábado, que com os ensinamentos do João khoeler, ganhei o bichinho pelas provas de vinho, e por isso, um muito obrigado João!

We spent an amazing day with Mikael Pereira, our guide visiting the Duoro wine region, an amazing winery and a beautiful farm. Mikael was very informative and had many interesting stories to tell and kept us entertained throughout the day.
The scenery was simply incredible! The visit to Quinta Do Beijo winery was interesting, entertaining and the owner very charming. The wines were so good! We visited a lovely local restaurant in Pinhao where we had a delicious lunch and then went on a river boat cruise on the Duoro river. After we visited a beautiful farm, Quinta de Montouro where the most charming owner talked to us about his farm, his winery and his family history. We tasted his wines and some tasty snacks.
This tour was the highlight of my trip to Portugal, I can't say enough good things about Mikael and the experience he took us on. I would highly recommend this adventure!
