    We highly recommend Summer Tours Elounda. Very friendly and efficient communication, professional organisation, and very reasonable prices. We had a fabulous time on our trip to Richtis Gorge. Theodora and Sigita are wonderful, and we felt like we were on a day trip with friends :-) We ran out of time to do another trip, but will definitely book with them again next time we are in Elounda. If you're after a small group tour with a personal touch, look no further...

    We booked a private excursion on June 14th.It was my second time doing this excursion and I must say it was as good as I remembered it to be. This time I came here with my sister,my mother and some family friends of ours(the variety of ages was from 19 to around 45 years old).The hiking path was easily doable for everyone in our group and we had lot's of fun walking to the beautiful waterfall and back.The weather conditions were ideal ,even though it was a hot summer day, cause of the plant life surrounding the hiking path .The pont at the waterfall was a beautiful and refreshing sight.All of my family and friends truly loved this amazing excursion. I will certainly redo this excursion first chance I get.

    We wanted to do something different on this our fourth visit to Crete. After looking for ideas on Trip Advisor we came across this trip/hike to the Richtis Gorge. We are not hikers but do enjoy a good walk so checked reviews and decided we would go for it. Well, it was amazing! We cannot praise Summer Tours enough, we arranged the booking through our hotel and they were very helpful. We were picked up at the hotel by Christos who was to be our guide, had read in reviews that he was brilliant so very pleased, also found we were the only two on the trip which was a bonus. Christos lived up to everything we had read... he is an absolute gentleman, very professional and so knowledgable. We told him we were novices but he said not to worry. Although it was not classed as an easy hike, it was managable and with a constant helping hand and guidance from Christos I did it!! (I should say that I am 68 years old and pretty fit but not particularly strong) Climbing over large rocks was a first for me! And the icing on the cake ... is when you get to the waterfall.... it's beautiful, the water is a bit cold but so invigorating. What a wonderful experience, such a memorable day, thank you Christos from both of us. D & D

    So glad we booked this trip. The beauty of this place. From all the different trees to the rocks and streams to eventually the most amazing waterfall that you can go and swim or stand under it. Christos was fantastic with his knowledge of the place and his plundering of fruit and nuts from the trees to let us try. He new the best path to follow and helped to guide us up and down the rocks. Thank you for a wonderful day. Definitely do it again next year. X 😘

    A lovely hiking tour to the magnificent Richtis Gorge and its waterfall. The amazing gorge of Richtis starts from the stone-arched bridge of Lachanas (19th century) which has a tragic history to tell. The route continues in a lush landscape along the river, within an amazing scenery of East Crete. The mountain is actually above your head, platans, oleanders and sage are numerous, and the smells of fresh herbs change constantly. The highlight of the gorge is the beautiful waterfall with a height exceeding 20 meters and the small pond formed below it, where you will have the possibility for a refreshing dive.
