What to expect

1. Welcome & Introduction (10 min) Our friendly staff will greet you and explain the steps of the workshop. You'll also learn about the history and unique characteristics of each natural aromatic ingredient used in traditional Japanese incense. 2. Fragrance Selection & Blending (15–20 min) Choose from 8 natural materials such as sandalwood, cinnamon, and frankincense. With guidance from our staff, you can blend your favorite scents to create your very own original fragrance. 3. Shaping & Molding (20–25 min) Shape your blended incense clay using molds inspired by Japanese motifs — such as cherry blossoms, plum flowers, or mountains. This part is fun and easy, even for children. 4. Drying & Finishing (10 min) Place your finished incense in a box to take home. After drying for 1–3 days, you can enjoy using it at home. Our staff will share tips on how to burn and store your incense properly.
