What to expect
Palcoyo Rainbow Mountains Tour
We start the day by picking up passengers from their hotels in the historic center of Cusco. We travel south for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to a local restaurant, where we will enjoy a light breakfast. We continue to the valley of Combapata, in the province of Canchis, making a brief stop at the colonial bridge of Checacupe, an architectural jewel of the viceregal era. Then, we continue for 2 more hours towards the Palccoyo Mountain Range. From the starting point, we hike for about 50 minutes to the main viewpoint, where we can admire the colorful mountains, unique landscapes and, optionally, visit the impressive stone forest. At the top, we will have 30 to 40 minutes to enjoy the scenery, take pictures and connect with nature. When we descend, we return to the restaurant for a buffet lunch with typical dishes. Finally, we return to Cusco, arriving around 6:00 p.m., after a day full of natural beauty and Andean culture.
