What to expect
The Moliseiro boat tour is a popular tourist activity in Aveiro, crossing the main canals (Central, Côjo, Pyramids and S. Roque) in a route of approximately 45 minutes. The Moliceiro is a traditional Ria de Aveiro boat, used once to catch molice, and now valued for its colorful and characteristic design.
Aveiro
In addition to the Art Nouveau, the city exhibits the religious architecture of the Monastery of Jesus (now Museum of Aveiro) and the traditional moliseries boats that run through the Ria de Aveiro canals. Aveiro Train Station, with its blue and white tiled panels depicting local landscapes and scenes, is a must-see point of interest. Proof of the famous soft eggs that emerged in the Monastery of Jesus, where the nuns used egg whites to irrigate clothes and created the sweet with excess gems, becoming a renowned delight. The sweet is recognized for its creamy texture, wrapped in hostia with marine shapes. The city's connection to the sweets is so strong that there is a Monument to the Moles Eggs in Cais da Fonte Nova.
