    I was very grateful to have such a personal tour of Ohrid. In hindsight, i should have stayed in Ohrid for a few nights, but i only had Skopje booked. Fortunately this tour allowed me to visit Ohrid in a convenient manner. The driver and tour guide were very nice and speak perfect English.

    Loved the tour. The driver was very friendly and careful while going through the mountains and during the heavy rains. The guide in Ohrid was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and kept the group moving along. Ohrid was beautiful and well worth the day trip.

    Alek, Damir, and Maya were amazing! They did a great job of explaining the history of the region, the local area, and providing an ample amount of free time with great recommendations for food and to swim. Lake Ohrid is beautiful and I would highly recommend visiting the area.

    The city of Orhid was amazing! It was great to see the fort, the amphitheater, the churches, we opted for the boat ride as a group, and the little town and options for lunch we’re fantastic! I also really enjoyed the beautiful scenery driving to and from during the 2 1/2 hour ride each way. The problem with this tour is that while our driver was very nice, the van was older, and the air conditioning was not to the standards that we had expected. The van got very warm, especially on the way back, the driver didn’t offer to open the windows, even though we were expressing that we were very hot and repeatedly asked him to make it cooler. It made it very stuffy. All guest on our tour were starting to become very uncomfortable. Also, the description notes that we would be provided water, and there would be Wi-Fi available. Our driver never offered us water, and when one guest asked about Wi-Fi he had to pull over so he could have her hotspot from his personal phone.

    It is so expensive for money you can plan it yourself and still have fun as it is basically travel go to old town and new town so easy to plan

    Macedonia's side of Lake Ohrid was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, with the site being extended to also include the cultural and historic area of Ohrid in 1980. In 2010, NASA named one of Titan's lakes after it. In 2014, the Ohrid-Prespa Transboundary Reserve between Albania and North Macedonia was added to UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves. Albania’s side of Lake Ohrid was also designated UNESCO world heritage status in 2019

    Ohrid Fortress know as ,,Samuilova tvrdina'', was build from Philip the 2 of Macedon. During the late 900s, Macedonian King Samuil restored the fortress by rebuilding it into a medieval style stronghold which still stands as is today.

    St. Jovan Kaneo

    St. Jovan Kaneo

    Saint John at Kaneo is a Macedonian Orthodox church situated on the cliff over Kaneo Beach overlooking Lake Ohrid in the city of Ohrid, North Macedonia. The church is dedicated to John of Patmos, the writer of Revelation, who has been by some considered to be the same person as John the Apostle. The construction date of the church remains unknown but documents detailing the church property suggest that it was built before the year 1447. Archaeologists believe that the church was constructed some time before the rise of the Ottoman Empire very likely in the 13th century. Restoration work in 1964 led to the discovery of frescoes in its dome.
