This neo-Gothic church from the middle of the 19th century was a highlight of “The Pillars of the Earth” which takes place in the Middle Ages.
This city landmark was erected in 1897 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Emperor Franz Joseph I and not only played a leading role in the film “The Third Man” as a meeting place for Holly Martins and Harry Lime but James Bond was also here in the film “The Living Daylights”.
