The experience was very enjoyable from our reception by Theo and Rein until the end of the trip. The hot air balloon experience was breathtaking. Captain Paterson was very skilled and friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it.

One of the best experiences yet! The hot air balloon ride was truly amazing. The team at Global Ballooning was warm, welcoming, and friendly. They seem to love their job, and they were so enthusiastic and energetic too. The one-hour ride was thoroughly enjoyable, and we had a blast helping to inflate and deflate the balloon afterwards—it was a great team effort! A special thanks to our incredible pilot, Paterson Saunders (Pati), for ensuring a safe flight, teaching us the basics of how a hot air balloon works, and showing us stunning locations from high above. Despite my initial worries about the landing, it was super smooth! We booked the flight with breakfast, and the post-ride breakfast buffet and sparkling wine at the beautiful Balgownie Estate were excellent. The staff there was also friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to going again during spring!

Depart from Balgownie Estate via the Global Ballooning bus to one of the many launch sites - wind dependent.
Assist in the setup of the balloon.
Up in the sky for approx. 1hr - you will fly over Yarra Valley and surrounds, however it is fully dependent on the wind direction. Every flight is unique!
Land and assist with pack down.
You'll be driven to Balgownie Estate where breakfast is held (if included in your package)
