Dudley Wines is Kangaroo Island’s pioneer winery established in 1997 and is a small family run business producing 100% Kangaroo Island product, handcrafted on Kangaroo Island by fifth generation Islander Brodie Howard. Kangaroo Island is the world’s oldest bee sanctuary and is home to the only pure strain of Ligurian Bee in the world. Due to their isolation they have remained free of the major bee diseases
False Cape Wines
The Cellar Door is made from recycled wood, jetty timbers and stone sourced on the property. The Cellar Door will allow visitors to taste False Cape Wines in an idyllic setting nestled among the vineyard and Gum trees on the picturesque Willson River, surrounded by native vegetation on the Dudley Peninsula only 12 kilometres from Penneshaw.
Kangaroo Island’s only 5-star James Halliday rated winery, The Islander Estate Vineyards brings together two vastly different wine worlds. Discover the taste of French winemaking expertise married with the incredible natural environment and ideal grape growing conditions of Kangaroo Island. The Islander Estate Vineyards was established by renowned Bordeaux winemaker Jacques Lurton after falling love with the natural beauty of Kangaroo Island and recognising the region’s enormous viticultural potential.
Bay of Shoals is a coastal winery situated on historic Reeves Farm, one of South Australia’s first settlements and former home to Augustus Reeves, the first postmaster on Kangaroo Island. Bay of Shoals wines are an authentic Kangaroo Island product, with fruit being Estate-grown, harvested, and made into wine on site at the property. The estate has over fifteen hectares of established vines producing ten grape varieties that benefit from a true maritime climate, which enhances the fruit flavours.
Cygnet River
Spring Road Wines runs East-West across the Northern part of Kangaroo Island, South Australia. Spring Road vineyard was established in 1994 on a small sheep property about 7km west of Kingscote.
