Great day! Tiago was a very knowledgeable, funny and engaging tour guide. He spent extra time with us, and answered all of our questions thoroughly.

We had the opportunity to meet and spend time with a local resident. We planned our day to visit what we wanted to see. He gave great advice on what to see and when. Extremely informative and knowledgeable. Very personable and spoke excellent English. We learned a lot from him. Would highly recommend this tour. We certainly could not drive the roads like he did. We were in good hands.

We had the great fortune of having Nuno Marques as our private guide throughout our wonderful tour of beautiful Sintra and Cabo da Roca. Nuno is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of insight to the different spots we visited. He also made sure we were always cared for and comfortable. We felt so very welcome as if we were honored guests. It was a magical day. We hope to visit Sintra and the surrounding areas with Nuno again one day.

On October 12th my family (wife and 3 adult children) and I visited Sintra and did the Lighthawk Tour with Frederico Almeida Santos. His vehicle was roomy, clean and comfortable. Mr Santos exercised personal safety for him and his guests by keeping a mask on throughout the tour, even though we did not request/require. First stop was Palacio Nacional da Pena. Mr Santos helped us with ticketing and allowed us to enjoy a beautiful morning walking the grounds and visiting the castle. Afterwards we had lunch at a quaint village and a restaurant (Sabores de Sinatra) of his suggestion. The food was absolutely delicious. We then did a little walking through Sintra-São Martinho for desserts. Afterwards, we ventured to Quinta da Regaleira Garden for some splendid vistas of Sintra. We took a quick visit to Jardins do Palacio de Senteais. He then drove us around the coast to Colares to visit the lighthouse, and then ended our day trip at Cascais. Throughout the tour, Frederico provided information, history, explained culture and answered our questions. He’s patient with our pace of sightseeing and is a model representative of Sintra and its beautiful people. You will find his company/colleagues at the Sintra train station. While Lighthawk probably employs several tour guides, consider yourself lucky if you happen to have Mr Santos as your guide. Our thanks also to his colleague at the station who made this tour possible.

This tour has been one of the best things I've ever done, starting with the tour guide who is friendly, intelligent and very respectful, he knows everything about this dreamy place. I went we my Mom and he made us feel like in a fairy tail explaining all about in every stop. It's amazing how much he knows and also the time you can save when travelling as he can get the tickets for you, he'll be waiting of some places outside with a smile inviting you to continue a great adventure, it's a full day which includes everything: Museum, Castle, Ocean, History, Happy little local place to eat, Laugh and... no one likes spoilers, so, go and get it!
