Today was another incredible day in Todra Gorge, filled with stunning sights and delightful experiences. As I reflect on our adventures, I'm reminded of how fortunate Aisha, the children, and I are to be able to share these moments together, immersing ourselves in the beauty and culture of Morocco. It's a journey that enriches us all, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Lepalmabella. The warm hospitality and local flavors were the perfect start to our explorations. Tunde was particularly excited about trying the traditional Moroccan pancakes, while Funke enjoyed the fresh fruit and yogurt. Aisha and I savored the strong, aromatic coffee, a staple in Moroccan breakfasts. The cozy atmosphere of Lepalmabella made us feel right at home, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

After breakfast, we set out to experience the views from the Todra Gorge viewpoint. The drive itself was breathtaking, with the towering cliffs looming over us. Next on our itinerary was a visit to the Bridge on Todgha River. The bridge offered a unique vantage point, allowing us to appreciate the flow of the river and the lush greenery along its banks. We took a leisurely stroll along the river, enjoying the peaceful ambiance and the gentle sound of the water. It was a perfect opportunity to connect with nature and each other, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I couldn't help but think about how different this landscape is from Ottawa, where we're used to seeing snow this time of year. It's a refreshing change, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience such diverse environments.

For lunch, we indulged in a delightful meal at RESTAURANT LA-KASBAH. The restaurant's charming setting and delicious cuisine made it a memorable experience. We savored traditional Moroccan dishes, such as tagine and couscous, bursting with flavors and spices. Tunde, always the adventurous eater, tried the camel tagine, while Funke opted for the vegetarian couscous. Aisha and I shared a flavorful chicken tagine, accompanied by fresh mint tea. The friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

We spent a pleasant hour browsing through the boutique, chatting with the friendly shop owner and learning about the local craftsmanship.

The children were entertained by the lively atmosphere, while Aisha and I savored the flavors of the local cuisine. It was a fitting end to a day filled with unforgettable experiences.

Aisha and I are simply looking forward to spending more quality time together, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
