Our day began with a hearty breakfast at Africa Roots. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the sweet scent of local fruits, a perfect start to fuel our adventures. Fatou and Ebrima were particularly excited about trying the local pastries, and I must admit, I indulged in a few myself. It's these small, shared moments that make traveling with family so special.

After breakfast, we ventured into the heart of Lompoul. The village is a charming blend of traditional and modern life. Fatou, always interested in learning about different cultures, was captivated by his tales. We each tried on a few outfits, laughing as we posed for photos in our colorful attire. It reminded me of when I first moved to Germany from The Gambia. A whole new world to explore.

Tomorrow, we plan to visit DÉMARRER LOMPOUL LODGE and Musée Jean Mermoz, eager to discover more of what this region has to offer. I'm particularly interested in the museum, as I've always been fascinated by aviation history. But for now, I will close my eyes and drift off to sleep, dreaming of golden dunes, vibrant markets, and the warm smiles of the Senegalese people. I can't wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings.
