Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Auburn University campus, head north on College Street until you reach East Magnolia Avenue. Turn left onto East Magnolia Avenue and continue walking until you reach North Gay Street. Turn right onto North Gay Street and follow it to the intersection with East 6th Avenue. From there, take a left onto East 6th Avenue and walk straight until you reach the station for the Auburn Transit bus. Board the bus heading to the nearest transit center and transfer to a bus heading to Tacoma. When you arrive, follow the signs to Dock Street, which will lead you to the Museum of Glass located at 1801 Dock St.

  • Public Transit

    To reach the Museum of Glass via public transit, start at the Auburn Transit Center located at 1400 West 14th Street. Take the Route 1 bus towards the East Auburn Park-and-Ride. Once you arrive at the East Auburn Park-and-Ride, transfer to the Route 2 bus towards Tacoma. Stay on the bus until you reach the Tacoma bus station. From the Tacoma bus station, it is a short walk to the Museum of Glass. Head southwest on South 13th Street towards Dock Street, then turn left on Dock Street. The museum will be on your right at 1801 Dock St.

    If you prefer to bike, start at the Auburn University campus and make your way to the Auburn Riverwalk. Follow the Riverwalk south until you reach the intersection with East 8th Street. Turn left onto East 8th Street and bike towards North Gay Street. Turn right onto North Gay Street and continue until you reach the transit center. From there, you can rent a bike through a local bike-share program or continue to bike to the Museum of Glass. Follow the same directions as provided for walking once you reach Tacoma.
